Have you heard of flexible-seating for classrooms? A recent student poll in Mrs. Giardi’s 2nd grade class on “What type of seat helps you LEARN best?”. Your donations make a difference! Some of NFE classrooms have been outfitted with this new “student-centered” seating style thanks to funding from Cape Cod 5, support of the PTO, and even DIY designs from teachers (like Mrs. Giardi’s Disney inspired cushion top crates). Students love their access to seating choices like wobbly stools, wobble cushions, and balance balls. Teachers love the increased focus and engagement of students in the classroom. With your support the PTO hopes to offer more flexible-seating opportunities in more classrooms in the coming year. Your gift has an impact...thank you! Second graders learned a bit about Salvador Dali, and had some fun with his famous mustache! They studied Salvador Dali and and did portraits of him complete with outrageous mustaches. Art appreciation is funded by the PTO and parent volunteers run the lessons. It’s so much fun!
With the help of your donations to the PTO, NFE has made significant technology improvements by implementing interactive whiteboards in all NFE classrooms. Whiteboards make the learning process more fun for students and lesson plans easier for teachers, from vocabulary and math exercises to video and audio engagement, classroom lessons have definitely become more vivid and productive for all.
This is your PTO donation at work! Thank you!! Join us at the Upper Cape Summer Camp and Activities Fair at Morse Pond School one week from today! We also need help hosting this event:http://signup.com/go/ZkdVKUG. Thank you!
Tuesday's half day is the Spirit of Falmouth! Send your student in NFE pride and consider making a donation to the PTO. All of the proceeds from today's 1/2 day fundraiser go directly to Wings for Falmouth Families.
