In May 2018, with funding from the PTO and local businesses, Mr. Irving and NFE students began planting our first “edible” garden. Inspired by the 3rd Graders fall field trip to Plimoth Plantation, this garden follows a Native American tradition of being a “three sisters” garden of corn, pole beans and squash. The garden is a true community project as it is tended by students, teachers, parents and local NFE friends. Thank you to our PTO supporters and donations from Cataumet Sawmill for helping to bring Mr. Irving’s vision to life!
