In May 2018, with funding from the PTO and local businesses, Mr. Irving and NFE students began planting our first “edible” garden. Inspired by the 3rd Graders fall field trip to Plimoth Plantation, this garden follows a Native American tradition of being a “three sisters” garden of corn, pole beans and squash. The garden is a true community project as it is tended by students, teachers, parents and local NFE friends. Thank you to our PTO supporters and donations from Cataumet Sawmill for helping to bring Mr. Irving’s vision to life!
2018 Mrs. Vargas’ Kindergarten class visiting the Buttonwood Zoo & Mrs. Rennie’s 1st Grade class trip to the National Seashore. Thank you to our PTO supporters, your gifts help fund the NFE annual field trips. It’s opportunities like these, that happen beyond the classroom, that let our children spark passion & curiosity. Your gifts make a difference!

Thank you to the Bart Weisman Trio for coming to our school yesterday for a wonderful presentation on Jazz! Students were able to enjoy a program that spanned the entire history of Jazz, learned some music-related math skills, and even got to dance. This program was made possible by the amazing people at the Cape Cod Symphony and Conservatory. Due to fundraising efforts from the Provincetown Jazz Festival, this program is free to schools.
